Yugo was a fashion, photography, and architecture themed zonal event held in the months of November and December. The idea was developed by three units on the basis of the Japanese word ‘Yugo’, meaning fusion.

The event eventually evolved into a fusion of creativity, sustainability, and fashion. Participants were asked to consider the characteristics of both architecture and fashion, and express a blend of the two as a symbol of a possible collaborative future. Some of the specified learning objectives were to reuse materials, to practice sustainability, to conceptualize and design mixing architecture and fashion, and to make models.

Additionally, designs were expected to include elements based on three keywords - unfold, reflection, and fluorescence.

6 units participated in the event, which was judged by Vino Supraja, a sustainable fashion designer. The results were as follows:

Winners - I.G.I 104 - Z247 -Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Mumbai.

Runner Up - I.G.I 109 - Z223 - School Of Architecture, Anant National University.

In conversation with the Unit Secretaries of the host colleges, we asked them about their experience of hosting a zonal event. It was a rollercoaster ride from the very beginning; from conceptualizing ideas and considering both online and offline colleges, to working on the finer points of the brief, poster, and guidelines. Participation was also initially hindered because the event overlapped with a national trophy, but in the end, the event was a huge success. The Unit Secretaries who hosted the event wereYashvardhan Singh (Z212), Parth Agrawal (Z226), and Vaibhavi Kapoor (Z254).
